We take your bare frame and install it on our in house frame jig. After removing the stock steering head, we install a stronger and lighter chrome moly head - in a location that yields quicker steering and allows use of the 4" shorter sport bike inverted front end.
The 2" lower steering head location dramatically reduces the top heavy feel while producing incredible confidence in the bikes new found handling stability.
While still aligned in our frame jig, we bore out the threaded pivot point holes for the shaft drive swing arm and weld in alloy steel bushings that are later honed to the correct size for your new steel pivot bolt.
The hand made sheet aluminum, 3" over length swing arm is now custom fitted to your frame with the performance shock of your choice.
This package delivers a finished wheel base about the same as the stocker's 62" but gives you a greatly improved weight bias front to rear - with the original bike at 624 lbs., 46% on the front tire and 54% on the rear tire - the "Sport Chain" delivers 550 lbs., 51% on the front and 49% on the rear!
This major decrease in static bike weight along with the increase of the amount of bike weight on the front tire improves the handling characteristics ten fold.
